Who we are
Find Private Care (working title) operates this private-healthcare finder. We are the data controller for the directory and for enquiries submitted through it. Once we pass your enquiry to a provider, that provider is a separate controller for how they then use your details.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email, phone (optional), postcode, what you're looking for, your message, and contact preferences.
- Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics (no selling, no ad-tracking by default).
- We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, detailed medical history through the enquiry form.
Why, and our lawful basis (UK GDPR)
- To pass your enquiry to providers — on the basis of your consent, given by the tick box on the enquiry form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- To run and improve the directory — our legitimate interests in operating a useful, transparent service.
- Health-related details you choose to include are special category data; we rely on your explicit consent to handle and share them for your enquiry.
Who we share it with
- The provider(s) you enquire with, or who match a "match me" enquiry, so they can contact you.
- Our processors (e.g. hosting, email/SMS delivery) under contract, only to provide the service.
- If a clinic you match with hasn't yet claimed its profile, your enquiry is held securely and not sent until they join — or you can ask us to delete it.
- We never sell your personal data, and rankings are never influenced by payment.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for up to 12 months to support follow-up and dispute resolution, then deleted or anonymised — unless you ask us to delete sooner.
Your rights
You can access, correct, delete or port your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email privacy@findprivatecare.co.uk. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is restricted. Provider lead inboxes are access-controlled.
